I have already written this year’s date a few times this year. Today I wrote it as 1/5/10. The other day I wrote 1/2/2010. But the question for many people is how to pronounce the year. Is it Twenty-Ten, Two-thousand-Ten or Ten? Make your voice heard. Participate in the poll and add your comments.

Every year I make a list of books I plan to read during the year. I pick them either from curiosity or my desire to understand a subject. Last year the main subjects were Social Media, Social Marketing, Networking and Web 2.0. This year I plan to increase my knowledge of Web 2.0 Technology, Web 2.0 applications, and Community building. Last year, as many newspapers, magazines and tabloids have pointed out, was filled with a lot of insignificant negative things. As I write this post, I’m trying to remember the remarkable things that occured in 2009. I can think of a few remarkable events Presidential Inauguration, US Airways Flight 1549, and the Recession. I remember a few remarkable people Obama, Kennedy, Michael, John & Kate plus 8, Octomom, and Tiger. Thankfully, most of the negative press has died down. Of course, it will be brought up again as this decade comes to a close. In the latter part of 2009 I saw some remarkable deals in consumer electronics; affordable Blu Ray, affordable GPS.
