Due to the recent release of iOS 4.2 my iPad was automatically updated by iTunes when I reconnected it to my MacBook Pro.
I thought it was really cool to have Multi-tasking and Folders to aid in management of all the apps on my iPad.
It was nice to finally have both iOS devices, iPad & iPhone, use the same user interface.
The biggest surprise was AirPrint. This feature that allows you to print from your iOS device to a shared printer.
My printer wasn’t on the approved list, so initially I wasn’t able to find any printers, but after following the directions to re-enable AirPrint found here
http://www.tuaw.com/2010/11/11/airprint-how-to-make-it-work-for-shared-printers/ I was able to share the printer with my iOS devices.
Out of curiosity, I tried printing with my iPhone and was able to successfully print as well.
NOTE: Printing is only available on software that has been updated for iOS 4.
